Parent Staff Association

All parents and carers are automatically members of the PSA. It is also open to staff and friends of Moor House.

Purpose

The PSA aims to enrich the lives of the children and young people at Moor House by providing an ongoing framework for support and communication between parents, staff and pupils.

The PSA is responsible for organising fundraising events on behalf of, and for the benefit of, the whole Moor House community.

The PSA constitution can be viewed by clicking here.

Support and Communication

As most families are not local to the school, the preferred method of communication between its members tends to be email. PSA registered members are notified of activities and events by email. You would also be notified of any events or information that the PSA believe would be of general interest in the area of specific speech and language impairment. Registering with the PSA also provides you with the platform for sharing your views or concerns.

Fundraising

The fundraising sub-committee members include parent representatives across each Key Stage. This structure lends itself to closer communication between parents and staff. The fundraising team is responsible for organising events which allow everyone the opportunity to meet socially while helping to raise valuable funds that go towards projects which benefit the whole Moor House community. The team is always looking for ideas (both new and old!) and for enthusiastic volunteers – prior experience is not necessary.

Meetings

All are welcome to the General Meetings which are held once a term with the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the Autumn term. The fundraising team meets once every half term or whenever necessary.
