Waking Night Supervisor – Maternity Cover

Salary: circa £13.98 per hour
Position: Term time only
Location: Oxted, Surrey

You will join a thriving Residential Care Team that delivers exceptional outcomes for speech and language impaired children and young people at this Ofsted “Outstanding” rated Special School (10-16 years) and College (16-19 years).

Responsible for providing the highest levels of care and support for our students as outlined in their Education and Healthcare Plans. You will be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for all the students in our care, both individually and as part of a team with the overall objective of supporting students to achieve and maximise their potential.

We are looking for a Waking Night-time Supervisor to cover the following shifts:

Tuesday to Thursday, 10:00pm-7:00am                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

Duties include:

  • Co-ordinating a handover from Healthcare/ Senior staff at the commencement of each duty;
  • Ensuring the building is secure;
  • Carrying out hourly checks on students throughout the night, as well as responding to alarm calls; This includes basic medical checks with any relevant training provided;
  • Attendance at mandatory INSET/Training days as required.

A relevant NVQ level 3 qualification is desirable plus a commitment to undertake role specific training as required.
