College Development Appeal
This summer we launched our College Development Appeal in the hope of matching the amount raised at the summer fete and we are delighted to say that we have now raised £6,000 toward our goal and are close to reaching our target.
We are excited to begin transforming an area of the site into a dedicated supported study hub and sixth-form common room, complete with JT’s Coffee Shop. This new space will provide our college-aged students with an area separate from the school students, fostering their independence and offering facilities tailored to their needs.
We will also be adding a dedicated life skills room for college students, where they can practise and perfect the day-to-day skills needed to become independent young adults.
Finally, the current home of JT’s Coffee will be transformed into a new media suite, specifically designed for our Year 10, 11 and College students. This state-of-the-art facility will support the delivery of a Level 1 Media introductory vocational course, offering awards, certificates, and diplomas. Our students will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment, including high-spec PCs, graphics tablets, and high-resolution web cameras. We also hope to add green screen facilities and a soundproof booth for audio projects.
To make this a reality, we need to purchase several items for these new areas.
- £1,500 would buy a private learning booth in the supported study area
- £500 would allow us to purchase a new modular sofa
- £250 could fund a washing machine in the new life skills room
- £100 could buy a learning station
- £50 could buy a complete set of pots and pans
- £20 could buy a single crockery set
Every donation will be publicly acknowledged in the new space, creating a lasting tribute to your support and generosity.
