New resources and updates released on our SHAPE CODING website

New resources have been released on shapecoding.com for professionals that provide a detailed guide to identifying and supporting a child’s understanding and use of grammar so that they can communicate more effectively.

In line with the latest research and best practice these include:

  • An update to the FREE downloadable Target Identification Spreadsheet
  • Intervention steps for the foundation level targets
  • Description of general techniques for carrying out the intervention
  • Large shapes, display sheet and desk map for use when working with children

The SHAPE CODINGTM system, developed at Moor House by Dr Susan Ebbels, uses a visual coding system to show the rules for how words are put together in sentences, to develop a child’s understanding and use of grammar.

To find out more and access these resources go to the SHAPE CODINGTM system website, where you can also get a FREE 2-week trial of the SHAPEC CODINGTM App.
