Sailing in support of Moor House
A Moor House family is taking part in one of the largest yacht races in the world this weekend in aid of the School & College.
The McCarthy family will join around 15,000 sailors from all over the UK for a one-day race around the Isle of Wight on Saturday 25th June. Covering 50 nautical miles and starting on the famous Royal Yacht Squadron line in Cowes, the fleet will race west to The Needles, round St Catherine’s Point and Bembridge Ledge buoy, and back into the Solent to the finish line at Cowes.
Attracting over 1,400 boats of all shapes and sizes, the event is the fourth-largest participation event in the UK after the London Marathon and Great North and South runs.
