Year 11s visit Guildford for the Fireworks and Funfair - 5th November 2009

On the evening of November 5th members of Year 11 had the opportunity to go to Guildford to enjoy the Fireworks and Funfair at Stoke Park.

 

 

The weather was appropriately cold for November, and the rain did lash down at certain points, but this did not stop everyone having a good time as you can see from the photos.

 

 

Students enjoyed the Gravitron zero-gravity 'Turbo' ride, the Funhouse, the Pendulum Double-Arm Ranger and the Scrambler, amongst others, before taking a position on the hill to watch the colourful and explosive fireworks display. Can you see any of the students on the rides?

 

 

Although there was no roaring bonfire to warm everyone up - probably a casualty of health and safety, but at least Guy Fawkes managed to not be sacrificed - there was the opportunity for everyone to enjoy a mug of hot chocolate at the end of the evening, thus concluding a really fun night out.
