On Friday 27th June, Oliver and Joshua from the school council, went with Miss Collingwood and Mrs Moore to Lightwater Leisure Centre to look at some equipment made by a company called 'Zig Zag'. Its main focus is directed at those with co-ordination difficulties, sensory integration dysfunction and attention difficulties.
The students had the chance to try out the 'XerDance', a wireless dance platform with accompanying dance mats, played on three different levels showing instant feedback. Next they got to smack the 'Sportwall', which combines the fun of a computer game with a cardio-vascular workout.
The aim of this visit was to research some equipment that may be suitable to have in the Moor House School gym, for which we are currently applying for funding.
