Billy Elliot
On 1st May the year 10 students travelled up to London to the Victoria Palace Theatre to see a performance of Billy Elliot. It was to from part of the course work required fro ASDAN bronze qualification. The whole trip was funded by the charity 'Happy Days'. It was a real treat as the students travelled up to London on a coach and they are used to using public transport!
Once inside the theatre, we were shown to our rather excellent seats. As the show began, the look on the students faces was an absolute joy to behold. The show was wonderful and it was lovely to see all the pupils watch with absolute disbelief as they were transported to the troubled times of miner's strikes and Margaret Thatcher!
The combination of song and dance was wonderful.
We were treated to an ice-cream during the interval which was enjoyed by all. As usual, the students were an absolute pleasure to take out.
